Your Guide to Antigua All Inclusive Resorts

The resorts I would check out.

Pineapple Beach Club

If you have kids then you can now discount Pineapple Beach Club on the east side  as they are now adults only after a change of owner and refurb but for you as a couple that could be worth a look.

Located on the spectacular long bay it has all you could need for an all-inclusive week in the sun.

Editor's Pick : Jolly Beach Resort

The Jolly Beach Resort is well run and fun ! You might miss some of the softer edges you get with a more expensive resort but you are getting exceptional value for a country that is never known as cheap.

Read this review of the Jolly Beach Resort to see if it fits your profile. With one massive swimming pool and a smaller quieter one, there is no lack of options there. The standard rooms are not large and that is the thing to consider mainly at this end of the budget scale. There are however so many good points that you might forget the room size and roll with the rum punches.

With all inclusive water sports and a tonne of entertainment, it also is ideal for families. The resort appeals to a very wide range of ages too - many come back year after year. The beach is excellent reported as the best one in Antigua but that’s a long story - there are no and beaches !

If the Jolly Beach Resort for some reason doesn’t work then you might look at rex resorts the Halcyon cove on Dickenson Bay or their Hawksbill out east with 5 brilliant beaches to choose from (the furthest a clothing optional one ).

''My Favourite Place!''

''So casual and relaxed! Beautiful views, quiet atmosphere, several beaches, and great food service and food choices. It's so nice to be at the end of the road, with a mountain behind you. So quiet, with visiting goats and sheep!''
Virgin have a dedicated landing page for Antigua for further reading on the all inclusive subject.

The St James’s Club Resort Perhaps the middle of the range resort of interest in Antigua is the St James Club it is excellent for couples families and groups alike. It is located well for the touristic attractions of the south including Shirley Heights and Nelsons Dockyard. The resort also has villas but this is separate to the all inclusive deal you are looking for. With an enduring appeal, guests write good review after good review.

I Went to Antigua to get married and...
''I went to Antigua to get married and stayed at the St James' Club. I t was brilliant. The staff, the facilities, there was a good range of all inclusive water sports. The food was great, you had to pay a supplement to eat in the posh ones but the food was great. We were treated like royalty. The kids club is brilliant. It leaves you plenty of time to go off on excursions. It was fantastic. I would recommend  this resort to anyone.''

More Luxurious Still?

If you like your resorts in the shape of Sandals then don’t despair The Sandals Grande has you covered for a variety of budgets around the 4-5 star mark and the resort is marketed as a luxury one. If you want to make a statement via your address then stay at Jumby Bay on your own little island off the north-west of Antigua - this is for those seeking something really special. For a luxury feel, you might consider Sugar Ridge as a classy resort though not located directly on a beach the resort will shuttle you down it takes just 4-6 minutes and you get your pick of probably Antigua’s Best Beaches. Dine at their own Carmichael's Restaurant for a very special occasion indeed.
